Happy Holidays!

Hi families! First off, just wanted to wish everyone's families a warm, happy and healthy holidays and new year! I hope you take this time to enjoy time with your families! Thank you to all the family members that came on Thursday to watch the children's play. I say it a lot, but they really did work so hard on practicing their lines and making all the sets and costumes. They did a wonderful job! If anyone has a video of it, please share so I can possibly share it with the families that couldn't make it! Special thanks to L.O's mom and S.K's mom for coming in early to help set up!
Following the play, we had a family craft-decorating gingerbread people and penguins! It was wonderful to see adults enjoy it as much as the children! It went incredibly smoothly...is this something that families would like again in the future? If so, I can try to play a craft event for Valentine's Day and/or Mother's/Father's Day.
Earlier in the day, Music for Many came for a holiday concert!
Watch some clips here--

On Friday, we worked on creating holiday trees and holiday cards!

I sent each child home with their extra pattern books! They also went  home with 3 take home books (if they returned their take home books!), and I gifted each child with a book and a snowman stationary set!

At the end of day when I cleaned the classroom, I saw this at the dramatic play center and thought it was really adorable--

Here are some photos of the students creating the setting for our play--
